There is no date specified. Yes, it could be fall, according to the article. 28th of September would make it a fall date, even in the United States.

It won't be Canelo because GBP already has something in store for him, and that is Cotto or Angulo. This is so obvious, and they have even said it themselves, that the anti-Floyd **** are coming out with their hatred on why Floyd will not fight Canelo in September. The fight will happen next May and every one knows that. If Canelo beats Trout and his September opponent, he gets Floyd in May 2014. If by a miraculous reason, Canelo decides to rebel against GBP after beating Trout and forces them to give him Mayweather like he did with Trout, then the fight happens in September.

Showtime and GBP vs HBO and TR it is bad business lets see how this plays out. I don't mind 8 fights in one night. I'll have my friends come over and chip in for both fights. I hope if this does happen they give us great undercard fights.

so sick of this guy being the face of boxing when he's never willing to risk it vs an opponent that actually is a tough challenge.

He calls himself the best ever. Guys like SRR and SRL challeneged themselves with the toughest fights they could possible take, like SRR moving up to 175 to fight Maxim, or SRL moving up to 160 to fight Hagler after 3 hrs out of the ring.

Mayweather, all he has is excuses, when it came to Pacquiao, when it came to Martinez; and now, when it comes to Canelo. If he agrees to the fight, I'll admit that I was wrong and don't know ****.

Floyd never take risk?Floyd fought Genero Hernandez when Floyd was 17-0.And a lot of people thought that was too early for Floyd. And Hernandez was a top junior lightweight champion.Floyd fought Diego Corrales a most thought would ko Floyd and Corrales was a top ten p4p fighter at the time and ranked #1 at junior lightwieght.Floyd fought Jose Luis Castillo who was the #1 ranked lightweight Champion.Floyd fought Castillo with a hurt shoulder in the first fight. And many people felt that Floyd lost the first fight.Floyd could have avoided a rematch and went on with his career but he gave a very tough Castillo a rematch. After Floyd destroyed Arturo Gatti he called out Cotto and Hatton but neither wanted a piece of himat 140.At 47 FLoyd agreed to fight Zab Judah after Zab beat Cory Spinks. Before Zab lost to Baldomir Zab was considered a dangerous opponent for Floyd.Floyd moved up to junior middleweight and fought Delahoya and Floyd only weighed in at 150 while Oscar outweighed him by 15-20 pounds.Floyd also moved up and fought Cotto at junior middleweight and FLoyd only weighed in at 151.

Now who are the "tough" fighters Floyd supposedly avoided.Pacquiao who refused to take a random drug test in the first negotiation citing that taking blood makes him weak even though Pac has bled a lot in many fights and still fought on.And his camp claiming he`s afraid of needles even though Pac has tattoos. And Floyd was willing to agree to Pacquiao demand of paying 10 million for every pound he come over the 147 pound limit. Then Pacquiao waits 2 years to agree to random testing(probably got the peds outs his system by that time) but by that time Floyd seen Pacquiao contract and realized Pac don`t deserve 50% with him.So how could Pac ask for 50% when Floyd spends about 10 mil to financed his own fights cause he fights under his own promotional company while Pacquiao is signed to a promoter?

Another fighter Floyd who is supposedly scared of is Margarito lol.Margarito was a overhyped nobody who was made to order for Floyd and the only reason Floyd did`nt take that fight was because Arum refused to guarantee Floyd a fight with Oscar and refused to offer Floyd 10 mil each for a fight with Hatton and Cotto. And Floyd went on to fight fighters who were ranked higher then Margarito.

The real Cherry picker is Andre Ward and Pacquiao.Pacquiao has avoided: Tim Austin,Nate Campbell,Mark Too Sharp Johnson,Zahir Raheem,Juan Guzman,Yuri Foremen,a Mosley when he still had something left and many others. And he weight drained Oscar,Cotto and Erik Morales.

Ward was gonna give up his title to avoided Anthony Dirrel who was his mandatory but Anthony Dirrell got into a motorcycle accident. And Ward went on to fight a weight drained Chad Dawson and Ward chose the weight to fight him at.And Ward was gonna fight Pavlik then Pavlik retired. And he just recently called out Chavez junior.

It's neither here nor there but Floyd vs. Cotto and Floyd vs. Mosley were both probably about 3 years late.

I don't think Floyd is as choosey as most of his detractors do. I'm happy to see him fight Guerrero, Khan, Matthysse, Garcia, Bradley, Canelo, Trout, Pacquiao, Martinez in any order.

140-154 is filled to the brim with intriguing fights.

If Lamont Peterson upsets Lucas Matthysse, giving him wins over Lucas and Khan, he'd probably be seen as the man at 140, aside from possibly Danny Garcia if he wins.....I think Floyd could fight Lamont Peterson.

Floyd-Cotto you can semi-blame Floyd for that, he retired when the fight was supposed to be huge. But at the same time, Floyd tried to fight Cotto for several years in 2005-2006 and was denied by Top Rank. Than when Floyd splits from them, beats Oscar and Hatton, talks up retiring from boxing, Top Rank started to say Floyd supposedly had been ducking Cotto for years. I think it boils down to Floyd and Arum NEVER EVER DOING BUSINESS TOGETHER, and neither guy wanting to make the other money.

Floyd-Mosley, like Floyd-Cotto it was a very legit fight when it did happen, but you can't blame Floyd for that happening late. Floyd openly called out Shane in 2005-2006 and Shane gave every excuse in the book to not fight him. Than when Shane actually attempted to try to fight Floyd, it happened. But at the same time, Shane probably would have fought Floyd in 2006 or 2007, but I think he knew Oscar was going to get his shot against Floyd first, and probably couldn't just openly say that. So he gave all those other answers.

A lot of people don't realize Floyd was avoided and ducked a ton from 1998-2006, not many people really wanted to fight him, given he was by the best fighter in the world arguably, and wasn't a big name yet. Floyd gets blamed for "ducking" guys that didn't show interest in fighting him for years.

Casamayor and Freitas at 130, Tszyu and Hatton at 140, Cotto at 140, Shane at 147, etc.

That fight is at it's biggest 1 year from now if all goes as planned, dudes will be tripping over that fight by then. You already hear the noise, but it will be a deafening shriek come next January or February.

They could do it sooner and it would do fine possibly even the biggest possible fight out there (if Canelo beats Trout) but given how big that fight could be I would think they want that fight to max out. Not to mention the guys can rake in more with an extra fight between, which is a risk but I don't think Angulo and Khan while decent fights for both are not overly risky (I consider Mayweather Khan decent because I have always wanted to watch Mayweather punk Khan, to me that is a fun).
