He had mental issues late in his career, whether that was because of boxing or not who knows. I feel sorry for him and his family. He wasn't treated properly at the psychiatric hospital. Similar to Chris Benoit. Benoit's brain was similar to an 80 year old Alzheimers patient.

Seriously before Valero was a psycho he and Pacquiao were my two favorite fighters to watch, both warriors and aggressors, Valero was better pressure fighter though. Valero was climbing in weight too, Arum had huge plans for this kid, imagine Valero in the mix at 140-147 he would have been a star if his mind was normal, his style alone was exciting.

Dude suffered a brain trauma that held him back from fighting in the states, I think if he ws able to fight in the states he wouldn;t have gone the way he did, but he was always running with the wrong crowd in Venezuela

but I can't have any sympathy for a man who killed his wife violently and than offs himself leaving his kids without a mother or father.

If anything this story of Valero is a good example of why its not cool to do drugs or hang with the wrong crowd, don't do drugs kids its not cool.
