Sorry to me Canelo is nothing impressive

been watching more and more tape of this guy......maybe it's because he's trying to make weight but my main beef with him is that he's WAY too inactive and relies on his punching boxer way too much. He tries to explode and take you out with a combo and fights in spurts. He also doesn't cut the ring off and use his jab too do so....he fights so slow like he has lead in his feet to me he's shown me nothing more than a good fighter who's flawed....I see an easy Trout UD maybe stop him on swellling or cuts if I'm wrong I'm wrong and maybe he impressees me but nothing he's done as impressed me.

Always kinda thought he was a little too patient, Trout might not throw with the force he does, but he'll keep touching him and moving. Canelo is going to have show a gear we haven't seen him show yet IMO and I don't know if he has it.

although I think trout is slightly over rated (he is a decent fighter dont get me wrong) I think this fight is canelos coming coming out party

if he beats trout and does it well then let the hype begin about him being the real deal, until then im not sold

EDIT-btw did they ever release the oscar canelo spar video?

I definitely think Trout's winning, but you can't really judge Canelo until he fights Trout.

So far, he's had the luxury of taking his time, and picking his shots. We'll see if he can change it up, and have success in other ways. I'm sure Trout will test him to the fullest.

Higher competition usually brings out the best in you.

You pointed out a lot of good stuff. All Trout has to do is survive the early onslaught while picking him apart and its downhill from there for the Ginger.

Like I've always said, its easy to look impressive vs punching bags, smaller and older guys. Well, he looks impressive to his fans anyway not me.

Beat me to it. Chavez Jr. might not always be as dedicated, but beating Zbik and Lee is better than beating Rhodes, the only true 154 pound fighter Canelo has fought.
