Should Rigondeaux leave for Golden Boy once Contract is up?

Rigo has 2 fights left on his current top rank contract, i am sure they only signed him for 3 fights thinking that Donaire was goign to destroy him and he would be useless after that. With that in mind should he leave for golden boy after that? Any big fights would be at 126 and it looks like he is too small for that weigh class. My guess is he could fight Darchinian and the winner of Terrazas/Mijares for the WBC. Then at golden boy he could fight with mares and santa cruz. What do you guys think?

He should imo, bob wont do him any favours and rigo wont be here forever. But bob did give rigo what he wanted and that was a showdown with donaire so he might stay loyal and get ****** in by arums bull

Short answer YES!. It's clear they don't give a crap about him. Bob can promote him, I think he's just choosing not to. He'll make a crap load of money if he held a fight down in Miami so I don't think it's about not selling tickets.

He should leave but it wont be easy because hes still not a big enough draw. Is he worth enough to GBP to get him out of his contract? I say no. Plus Arum should be coming with a contract extenstion. And if Rigo doesnt sign Arum will put him on the shelf for months maybe even years. Weve seen him do it to Bradley, Gamboa, and others. And Rigos no spring chicken anymore.

Not yet. Give Arum a chance to do his thing first. He's done well so far.

GBP hasn't done anything with Erislandy Lara yet. He hasn't even been mentioned as an opponent for Canelo despite being his mandatory.

In fairness to Arum he maneuvered him into position to fight Donaire pretty well after only 11 fights, he got him a title in under 10 fights, and he got a very respectable purse for the Donaire fight which he didnt really deserve on the basis of how much of a draw he is.

I'd wait till his next few fights before saying he should leave. Arum needs all the talent he can get and that could force him to make sure Rigo gets good fights? You never know.

Having said that i would love to Rigo vs Mares so as a boxing fan i would be happy if he left for GB...

it doesn't really matter. if Rigondo fights in a boring style it will be hard to promote him.
