This is misleading. "Distributing" for publicists holds a different connotation from simply posting links on his own twitter and facebook. It's not as if Sternburg was actively emailing press releases bashing Rigo to various boxing sites for them to put up. He always posts articles of all the main news sources on his twitter account of recent Top Rank fights. ESPN and Yahoo were the only negative ones, which he can't ignore because they're the major organizations. He also posted a number non-negatives articles from Sports Illustrated, USA Today, NY Daily News, Ring, and Maxboxing.

    Sternburg even jabbed Rafael's article.

Add me to the chorus: Fuck Bob Arum. What he had to say about Rigo in the post-fight interview was offensive on several levels. Arum signed Guillermo...twice! Now, after "El Chacal" utterly owned his little pet, Arum wants to put Guillermo down? Clearly, Arum hadn't banked on Rigo spanking Donaire.

How about using your vaunted promotional skills, Bob. Do your fucking job and stop bitching about having to promote this special fighter.

That looks abundantly clear to me now, bro. Makes me even happier now to know that Rigo upset Arum's little apple cart. Fuck that motherfucker. Nothing like seeing a scheming piece of shit have his plans blow up in his face....

Now that espn and hbo have the corporate partnership and TR and HBO are exclusively working together you have to figure fat dan would do what he did. For boxing writers like him and kevin Iole to write columns basically telling casual fans hey dont bother with Rigo hes boring was an utter disgrace.

HBO knows that GBP has better boxers so they are selling action over skill which is understandable. they want ratings. fine. But yahoo sports and espn should be nuetral parties and not function as TR's PR unit.

Be patient guys. Winning heals everything.

As far as the media goes, we have seen this before with Larry Holmes, Pernell Whitaker and even Floyd Mayweather with ignorant media criticizing their fighting styles. What they did was dominate and win over and over again.

Rigo is going to have to do the same. We can't walk for him. He's going to have to work hard, stay on top and continue to dominate top contender after top contender before the mainstream boxing world gives him his just due.

All we can do is continue to support Rigo and go to his fights. I missed out on this past one unfortunately but you can bet your ass I will be at every single one of his fights in the U.S. live for the rest of his career.

And Arum's comments were uncalled for, but he's showcased Rigo at Texas Stadium, the MGM Grand, almost co-headlined him at Donarie/Arce and he gave him $750K in his fight against Donaire.

You don't give a guy $750K that you don't care about and have no plans for. Despite what this old crooked **** says to the media, there is no doubt in my mind that he will find a way to take care of this talented fighter.

I just thought he's a super skilled and defensive wizard, but it's just there's no spark in him, I think many will agree with me here, he's just not born be a star, he can be a boxing god to real boxing lover but wont be a boxing star....
