He was the guy in position to make any of those fights happen, and he chose Baldomir, enough said.

But Baldomir was the RING champ, so automatically made him the best hahahaha. Was hilarious when they were promoting Baldomir as the Cinderella man haha...

There was no reason for Floyd to fight Margarito at the time. Margarito still had a lot to prove coming up as a WW. Floyds situation was the opposite. He was already a multi division champion looking to become a commercial star. A win over Margarito wasnt going to do that. Back then the Mexicans didnt support anybody not named Oscar, Barrera, or Morales. That left guys like JMM and Margarito on the outside looking in until those guys retired.

Exactly. Baldomir took the loss well, cause he went on to have a hall of fame career.

Marg still had a lot to prove at WW? Marg was only the top WW for years, and also should have gotten the win over Daniel Santos at 154 for the WBO belt. He was also offered 8 mil i think for the fight. You're talking about Marg's "drawing power", and how FLoyd needed to become a "commercial star", but you do know he fought Argentinian Baldimor instead, right?

There is only 1 argument that can possibly support Baldimor over Marg and its that he was a lineal champ. Everything else is just BS, Marg was clearly the better matchup
