I was wondering when they were going to start building this fight up. I've started inviting people to the fight party and a lot of them didn't even know Mayweather had a fight coming up.Comment

Same here. I was surprised the other day when I realized the fight was only 2 1/2 weeks away... and I have a party planned for it!Comment

Wtf is CBS sports network? U thought they were promoting straight up on CBS. Man thus ppv is going to bomb hardComment

You're joking right?....they're showing TWO fights, it's the Aydin fight and the Katsidis fight. Plus the Berto fight was regular HBO and I don't think they can legally show that unless they buy the rights. Katsidis was too but maybe cuz it was a PPV fight it changes things I'm not sure.Comment

It's one of those channels that averages 10k viewers.
NBC and NBCSN, even as the latter has struggled to find an audience in its first year. Available in 80 million homes — roughly 19 million fewer than both ESPN and ESPN2 — it has had ratings highs (4.35 million viewers for the US-Japan women’s gold-medal soccer match in the London Olympics) and serious lows (an average of 71,000 prime-time viewers from Aug. 20-26, an all-time low for the network even during its OLN and Versus incarnations).
CBS College Sports was rebranded as CBS Sports Network in February 2011, and while it does not show up in the regular Nielsen ratings because it does not subscribe, it is now available in 48 million homes.
NBC Sports Network and CBS Sports Network are hiring high-profile talent such as Jim Rome, Dan Patrick, and Michelle Beadle in an attempt to challenge ESPN for cable-television viewers and dollars.
They are really half assing this promotion. Talk about starting a massive deal with a whimper. GBP is ****ting the bed. In fairness Top Rank didn't do much with their one-shot CBS deal either (they promised that the morning show would be out of Vegas during fight week...yeah right), they did at least have that one countdown show on CBS proper but it bombed in the ratings.
Typical misleading b-scene headline.Comment
Not international stuff anyway.
