At least Guerrero is a Top 3 Welterweight in his prime. But I have no beef with Pacquiao-Alvarado. Manny just got KO'd and we all know he has a very limited stable of fighters to fight because of Top Rank/Golden Boy.

it remains to be seen if pac will come back the same after that brutal KO loss or be a shadow of his former self (i.e. be more gun shy, show a shakier chin, etc.)...i hope we see some resemblance of the old pac though..

          Think about it.....

If somehow Floyd gets ancient over night, and Guerrero can bully him, he can get a decision. Alvarado isn't a good enough boxer to out box Manny, Rios and Manny are two different levels of fighter, and he's going to get smoked toe-to-toe with Manny. Plus Alvarado cuts easy.

          It has to be Guerrero.
          Agreed.

Guerrero's best chance is if Floyd has faded quite noticeably. Alvarado's best chance is if Pacquiao's chin is literally cracked.

I don't think either of those is particularly likely; Floyd will likely show up looking good as always, and Pacquiao will still be able to take a punch. So with that said, Guerrero has to be considered the bigger threat because he's a better fighter. Period. I like Alvarado, but even though he can box somewhat, he's almost exactly tailor-made.

          Guerrero has the better chance.

Both fighters are up against it really. But for the sake of the poll I will go with Guerrero. I think hes the better fighter. Alvarados been busted up in alot of fights and I dont see his face holding up against Manny. When I look at Alvarados face during the last Rios fight I get reminded of Cotto/Margarito 1.

The only way Floyd or Pacquiao lose is if they somehow grow old overnight. These guys operate in a different stratosphere than their opponents, so should be easy work for both. Even with the KO loss to Marquez and Floyd "slowing down" in his last fights.

Mayweather is a complete fighter imho, and even if he gets old(er) overnight, he's still capable of pulling out the victory. I wouldn't say the same for Pacquiao. If he's a shell of himself, I think Alvarado has enough to exploit it. I do think Ghost is a tougher out than Alvarado, and would pick him if they went H2H. Alvarado won't have to cut as much weight @WW, but his face doesn't take punishment well.

I slightly edge in Alvarado's favor, but I understand the opposing argument.

I'm routing for both the Ghost and Alvarado. But I'd say Alvarado has more of a chance. Simply because even if the Ghost puts up a competitive fight, he's still somehow losing 12 rounds even if he wins 5.
