Dethroned WBO/WBA flyweight champion Brian Viloria has met with his manager Gary Gittelsohn and decided to continue his career despite losing his title to Mexico’s Juan Francisco Estrada by a twelve round split decision at the Cotai Arena of the plush Venetian Resort Hotel in Macau last April 6.
Viloria who has twice come back from defeats to recapture his world titles wants to regain the flyweight belts and is looking to earn a rematch with Estrada but realizes he’ll have to work his way back into contention after taking a bad beating from Estrada.
No.1 ranked contender Milan Melindo of the famed ALA Gym is the mandatory challenger to Estrada with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum announcing a return to the Venetian in Macau for a Melindo-Estrada title showdown on July 27.
