So when Manny got the opportunity to lay down during the match, the old man saw his opportunity to prove his claim to Pacquiao and stated:

my guess was that he was trying to ruin the shot for the cameraman or the photogs. you generally can't buy a seat that close to the ring. you either have to be involved, or know somebody important. that guy was almost certainly involved in some way.
