  • If Rahman gets absolutely pounded by Klitschko in a one-sided match...

... will it make you respect Danny Williams more?

Remember - despite the different levels they've mixed at, there is only ONE common foe to date: Kali Meehan.

    Rahman - TKO4

      I've bummed him.

Seriously though, what is it with you and entering threads you don't care about?

Wait - this one didn't have him in the title, fair enough. Look at the poll option though. You're number four.

Unless Williams fight a legimate contender and win, not a big name, my view on him would stay the same. And KOing a guy in less round than the others doesn't necessarily means a lot.

Why would it earn Williams more respect? By the same token any boxer that Klichko knocked out should have more respect just because Klichko pounded someone else after him. IMO respect is earned by performances, not by the fact that someone else sucks more or less than they do.

i check out all threads. I didnt say i didnt care. I asked you whats the deal with your adoration? I dont get it. He is an average heavyweight who cant beat the top 10 HW's today. And they are a sorry top 10. No disrespect to Williams, but he is nothing special.

I think I just feel sorry for the guy - you must admit he gets a lot of dissing on here. It's more of a reaction to that.

It's also that I feel people don't know him, such as the "top ten" statement. Believe it or not after his dire showing against Vitali (did he realise he was allowed to hit back??) I believe he DOES deserve a place in the top ten. Clearly, he'll never be number one or even top three, but he could compete, I seriously believe that. His record hasn't got that many names on it, but he's underachieved.

What has he done to deserve to be in the top ten? He beat Tyson, and Tyson prolly was not even in the top 20. A lot of people hate on him, but look at how many people put him on a pedastil just because he beat an injured/washed up Mike Tyson.

Oh no, sorry, let me clarify - he DESERVES to be in the top ten by talent - talent that he hasn't shown in EITHER of his US fights - which I believe from years of watching him (which most haven't, I feel) and from, as you say, the poor state of the competition.

But he hasn't EARNT the right to be there. His defeat of Tyson should have let him have a crack at a top 20-top 15 guy, and so on. NO WAY should he have had the title shot as his next bout - for his sake as well as the sake of the credibility of the way boxing is run.

                    To hell with Danny!
Most of these posters don't respect Vitali!
I sound beating of Rahman probably won't help much. Too many people are like me and don't think that highly of Rahman.
