Abregu signs with Top Rank

Welterweight contender Luis Carlos “El Potro” Abregu (34-1, 28 KOs) has signed a promotional contract with Top Rank. A source said Sean Gibbons traveled to Argentina and conducted negotiations for a contract for three years with minimum of two fights a year. Abregu had previously been with Gary Shaw Promotions.
