rigo was also fighting and holding his ground in the middle of the ring the first two rounds. after that, donaire seemed less inclined to stand and trade and started moving more. so rigo obliged and started boxing him. they were both boxing each other, rigo just did it a lot better.

Here's the problem.These promoters build these fighters up by putting them in the ring against fighters that are tailor made for them. It is meant for them to look dominate and unbeatable. A lot of these fighters now days are put in the ring with guys that may be popular but very one dimensional. And that is Donaire's case. He uses his speed and athletic ability to win. He will always dominate flatfooted guys that lack skill. That is why most promoters keep their fighters away from "slick fighters". They get revealed and end up looking bad. I honestly think the same thing will happen to Canelo come Saturday. This is the sport of boxing. So at the end of the day, the skillful slick guys who have matered their craft will be the dominate ones. These promoters need to hire the right trainers to teach these guys their craft. Its the sport to hit and not get hit. Some of these guys may be exciting in the ring and earn a lot of money doing it. But they will never be considered all time greats because those "boring slick fighters" are always their. They are always the roadblock and are under promoted. But they are the real deal. Donaire will come back and dominate once again. He will be champion again. But he will run into another guy with great skills and be revealed again.

I was tellin' ya'll after the fight. I don't know what fight you Rigo fans were watching. Donaire applied the pressure, showed good defense and got the knockdown. He won that fight even by a slight margin. You can't win a fight by running. If Donaire wasn't pressuring would Rigo be running? No. That means Donaire had the better ring generalship.
