The difference between Mexican fanatics and Cuban fanatics is that the Mexicans dont appreciate a boxing lesson. Whereas Cubans can appreaciate both. We appreciate when someone like rigo can outsmart and outbox a fighter. This skill nowadays is looked down upon because all they want to see is a street fight where two fighters stand toe to toe and slug it out... No skills required just heart, guts, and a good chin. This is why Rios is complaining on how Abril was holding but in reality he was frustrated by a smarter more skilled boxer as was Donaire. Donaire is more rounded than Rios by far but for him to think the rigo fight was close is ridiculous at best. Rios will never beat a well rounded skillful fighter. Love his style but please youll never be on a level to beat the best pure boxers in any division. It took a while for many to enjoy Floyds style and his skills and marketing savvy propelled him to where hes at. Funny how when asked by Floyd how do you want me to fight you his only answer to that was so typically Mexican lol "fight me toe to toe" my guess here is Mexicans dont enjoy Floyds style either. Typical Mexican fighters are all balls and no skill which is why i love marquez. He broke that mold and is one of the only Mexicans in recent memory to actually use his skills instead of just trying to walk through opponents like rios and margacheato loved to do.
You don't know crap about Mexican boxing. For you info Salvador Sanchez was one of slickest fighters in Mexican history and what about the great Julio Cesar Chavez, who in his prime had excellent body movement, and what about Ricardo Lopez, Humerto Gonzalez. The list goes on. Marquez was never dislike by Mexicans. Only the ones who don't like people from the capital city. Mexicans appreciate all styles of boxing but prefer warriors. Let's talk about the slick Miguel El Titere Vasquez who can't get a high paying fight because of his slick boxing style which is the reason why all the so call Champions duck him, including Brandon Rios before going to 140, Adrain Broner, Ricky Burns and even Yuriorkis Gamboa who has the mouth to call people out then takes easier opponents.

Are you speaking of the 105 pounder who never moved up 3lbs north to fight the likes of carvajal or better opposition or the 2nd best mexican fighter at the time cause everyone in mexico was nut hugging Chavezs left nut? Even King paid no mind in promoting him. He wasnt even that popular that even carvajal was making more money than him. Cant be the best if your fighting scrubs.

That guy resorts to name calling... Typical nsb. Finito was absolutely one of the p4p best fighters Mex has ever produced. Many simply will use his name to prove points versus actually having admiration in his accomplishments.

You call yourself a mexican fan and you never even mentioned Ruben Olivares in your list? What he didnt make your cut? You dont know **** about boxing. Olivares was probably the best to come out of mexico. As far as vazquez is concerned he has no fans not even mexicans who can rise his financial worth enough for the likes of broner and gamboa to make a decent payday. A bum in the street can probably bring just as many fans to the table. Only reason Gigo got his shot is cause his amatuer experience and because hes the truth. Vasquez aint got **** financially or otherwise to intrigue fans or orher successful prizefighters to want to play with his ass. The guys a bum

One is trained by Robert Garcia, his brother trains the other I thought...Danny. I though i had the name wrong but yeah , that's him. Nonito left Robert for Danny and that's partly what caused the beef between the two brothers. They live in neighboring houses but don't speak.

What do ya mean? Does Robert train Donaire now? I just didn't know he went back to him. He does complain a lot for getting whooped up on though....is this a race thread or something?

After reading a few posts....I see I've entered a war zone of sorts, lol
