JMM can't win a rematch. He knows, his team knows, his face was a mess, he was slowing down, getting tired, trouble keeping up with Pacquiao's pace, when he landed one punch with no time left in the round. Two, three rounds later, the fight would have been stopped the other way. JMM cried for three rematches with Pacquiao. Each time, Manny obliged. Manny asks for one rematch, considering he was winning on all scorecards, and JMM wants to find an easier route, even if it means considerably less money. Wise on JMM's part. He won't be near as lucky in a rematch.....

Just pull a Nike and Just Do it, Lets Get the fight signed. Both Marquez and Pacquiao are excellent fighters. No disrespect,but deep down I feel like before The K.O Marquez was starting to get figured out.

Pacquiao was turning up the heat,Before he got careless,Marquez knows it. I just feel like Marquez Knows the 5ft time Pac wont make the same Mistake and He'll get beat. Plus he's in love with all the attention hes been getting lately. Its like he doesnt want to lose it

My Honest Opinion

Manny did turn up the heat on Marquez, but the more aggressive he gets, the more he falls into Marquez's traps. It would be the same outcome. Their 3rd fight was boring because Manny knew if he got too aggressive, he would get countered all night. He decided to take a risk in the 4th fight and we saw what happened. The only way Manny beats Marquez is to fight uptempo and jump in and out. But because he has slowed down over the years, Marquez can time him better now. The Manny Pacquiao that everyone fell in love with is gone. He is not, and never will be the same fighter after that brutal KO. He depends on his speed and athletic ability to win. Well at 34 yrs old, it has deminished and he doesn't have the skills of a Marquez or Mayweather, or Hopkins to be as effective late in his career. Marquez honestly felt he was the better fighter and won the first 3 fights. He put the exclamation point in his KO over Manny and feels no need to fight him ever again. Money is not the issue here.

]Apparently you didn't see what was going on before the knockout blow came[/B]..I wanted Nacho to stop the fight before the k.o. blow came. Marquez like it or not took a ton of damage in that fight. He won in stunning fashion but the fact remains prior to that massive right hand he floored Pacquaio I didn't think the fight was going to last much longer. I still believe had Marquez not landed that money shot he wouldn't have survived two more rounds..it was just damage on top of damage between the two knockdown he scored. I don't think he wants the 5th fight because of that fact, like pacquiao or not Marquez takes a ishh ton of damage in all 4 fights thus far. I put money on Marquez for the 4th but I won't for a 5th if it happens.

Pleeeeeaaasssse would people in here stop with this "before Pacquiao got stopped crap". He got stopped period. If Marquez was that hurt then Manny would have stopped him. Dude had a bloody nose and still put Manny to sleep. Who says a 5th fight would be any different? Pacquiao had 4 fights in 3 didn't weight classes, age, weight and power to beat Marquez and he couldn't. Do posters actually think that after that crushing KO, Manny would be able to some how trump Marquez when he could not even do it in his prime?

The only reason Pacquiao had the success he did in them fights is because Marquez chose to fight those ways and gave Pacquiao openings. Before the 4th fight all of them said no 5th fight but now they want it. 5th fight, Manny gets KO'd again. Marquez has pulled Manny's number. Lets see how Manny does when he is back in the ring before saying he is going to stop Marquez or beat him. I'm sure that KO took something out of him.

marquez should be thankful that pacquiao kept giving him rematches.

Manny gave Marquez those rematches because in his heart he felt that he wasn't dominate and there were questions about him actually winning the fights. He wanted to prove that he was the superior fighter, but he never could establish that against Marquez. On the other hand, Marquez has stated over and over that he felt as though he won all of their fights. The KO simply proved that he is the better fighter. In his mind, there is nothing left to prove. Money is not the issue.
