Will Rigondeaux be the next Zahir Raheem?

Zahir Raheem is best known for upsetting Eric Morales a few years back. For his biggest career win as a professional he was punished rather than rewarded. It has been well documented that Arum just didnt try to get him any quality fights. Truth be told Raheem wasnt an all out action fighter. He had the skills to make great fighters look ordinary but in Arums mind it didnt translate well to making money in his pockets. In todays boxing arena its all about action fights rather than skilled fighters. People rather see a Gotti fight rather than a skilled pugilist applying his craft of hit but not get hit. The sweet science has always been about applying such a skill until it became an entertainment entity rather than a skillful trade. I feel Rigo is the next Arum victim to sit on a shelf collecting dust for the remainder of his career! How is it that Arum has already lined up Juanma for Donaires comeback but states how difficult its gonna be ro promote rigo? Whats everyones opinion on shelving outstanding talent in favor of slugfests?

That's a tremendous insult to Guillermo Rigondeaux. He was better than Raheem before Donaire, let alone after.

Raheem was dead average. His career after Morales proved that without doubt.

The difference is Rigo has 2 belts and is #1 in the division and top 10 pound for pound. People are going to be gunning for him and don't have the option to avoid him at 122 unlike Raheem.
