There's been a few but he's in short company.
To be fair I don't really count JMM vs Floyd or Dawson vs Ward because of the weight issues.

Marquez was moving up 2 weight classes and he certainly looked like a 135 fighter not a WW.

In Ward vs Dawson is was also very clear that Dawson was completely drained.

In this fight there were 2 fighters in equal circumstances, they were the best fighters at 122 pounds. Nonito said a lot of excuses but the truth is that he wasn't saying any of them when we was beating fighters and now that he loses it turns out that he was drained, had a shoulder injury and according to the interviews he believes he won (pretty pathetic btw)

Pathetic. He should handle his lost better then this. You only won 2-3 rounds top dude. His style is what it is and what you should have expected. Another Garcia trained fighter crying like a little puss over getting outboxed.

People think that pressing the fight deserves some sort of special consideration but it's just wasted movement if you're not throwing punches.
Sure Donaire was coming forward but he was doing so without throwing most of the night. Rigo threw more, and landed more, and landed the harder blows minus the round with the KD. If Donaire fought smart didn't head hunt the whole night, and threw some combos he might have won.

It's because of guys like the interviewer (DSource in this case) who are constantly doing the long stroke on these fighters, that when they lose they don't have a clue of what reality really is. The people around Khan and Rios are famous for it too. They got people around them ALL the time diddling their egos, so when they lose, these same people are right there baking up excuses FOR them and pretty soon they end up buying the **** they've been slatherin on them for so long. And then when these fighters go back and watch a replay, they got these same nut fondlers sittin right next to them telling them how it's the mysterious guy in the black hats fault that they lost.

It's a shame that so many of these good fighters have been sheltered from reality with too many strokers around them all the time, that they lose sight of what's real and what's not. Those kind of people aren't doin them any favors, in REAL life anyway.

I lost all respect for Donaire man... I don't think he treated Rigondeaux seriously enough and I don't think he prepared as well as he could have.

When you bring that Filipino flag with you into the ring, you're not just representing yourself, but all of us. You have to fight like your life depends on it, and I just don't think Donaire took that responsibility seriously.

And making excuses after he clearly got his ass whooped just makes him look even more of a *****.

Everytime Pacquaio walked into that ring with our flag, he understood the responsibility, and everytime he fought, he fought for all of us, he fought like his life depended on it.

That's why Pacquiao is a legend and Donaire is not.

^^^YES!!!! Donaire's eyes lit up after Rigondeaux initated that very first exchange where they both stood toe-to-toe and let their handa go - Rigondeaux knocked Donaire's ass into the ropes remember. The power and skill of Rigondeaux made Donaire's confidence evaporate and his insecurity made him gunshy because he knew by round two he was facing a mobile missile command which could take him out in Pacquaioesque fashion if he got overly aggressive
