No one comes close to Froch at UK P4P

    It's like

    1. Carl Froch

    2. Ricky Burns.

Not one UK fighter is near the level of Carl Froch and when he retires the UK will have no "good" boxers just duckers like Burns or can smashers like Cleverly.

Whilst we have to wait a few years before we get our next P4P stars, they'll exceed what Froch has done. The talent we have coming through now is better than it's ever been.

Burns hasn't really been given the opportunity to prove himself, Haye isn't willing to prove himself.

By the time Froch retires, we'll be on the ascendancy.

I follow UK boxing very well and can see no one on Froch's level. Most are hype jobs who when they fight someone good they get KTFO'd. Froch will never get KTFO'd because he is a damn warrior like Kessler. Too many boxers in UK are fed cans e.g Khan and when he fought some one with power (Prescott) he got KTFO'd

I think brook is the best, if he will ever prove it is another story.

Of course there is no one near his level as they're only just getting to the world scene or are still domestic, he never looked that good coming through either.

British boxing goes through a cycle, we'll have several top fighters then once they retire we have a couple until the next lot of prospects push through.

I know there is a lot of money around for elite Amateurs in this country but how does it get circulated around the country at grassroots level? The interest is there, the money seems to be there, and by extension the talent.

I agree with Demise - a golden era could be just around the corner.

I also agree with DosRounds about Yafai too - kid looks exellent.

The other thing to look out for is Eddie Hearn monopolizing Sky TV. If all the up and comers join him, he has more than enough dates to keep them busy and move them along but more importantly get them television exposure. A few years down the line the TS will be hardly know which 'hypejob' to undermine.

The upshot of it all is that Hearn will become a very powerful promoter (if isn't already) and title shots will come thick and fast for his fighters - which will lead to more title holders than ever in all likelihood.

Either way Hearn must be absolutely loving it at the moment.

Kell Brook could reach the status someday, but as of right now I agree there isn't anyone on Froch's level.
