Nonito Donaire vs Orlando Salido, Who wins?

While going through the laundry list of excuses he made after the loss, he mentioned making weight was a problem and he wants to move up his next fight. (Wants no parts of Rigo) Do you think it's a good fight for both men coming off a loss? They're both TR so I don't see a problem making the fight.

I may catch flack for this but I pick Salido. Dude is tough as nails. Nonito has power but I don't think it'll carry with him as he moves up in the ranks. As evidences by his time at 122. Salido has a harder time dealing with really fast fighters like Gamboa, who's much faster than Donaire. I think the constant pressure he'll apply will wear Donaire down and allow Salido to connect with some big punches. I just don't see Salido fearing that left hook Donaire is so famous for. He whopped Juanma who I'm willing to bet is 2x the power puncher Donaire is. He'll eat that punch and return 2 or 3 of his own.

no doubt salido is a tough fighter...but he's very hittable. so donaire won't have a hard time finding good opportunities to land and counter against him...plus donaire carried his power pretty well up to 122 (knocked down every guy he fought at 122) and i'm sure he can carry it up to 126...and donaire's chin is very solid (never been dropped or stopped).

but i'd rather see donaire vs chris john for his first fight at 126...it's a shot at a world title in a 4th weight class and he can position himself better for a shot against the winner of mares vs ponce de leon...

Donaire does very well with pressure fighters. Wouldn't mind seeing Salito in there cause he doesn't stop coming foward. He was building himself in the Garcia fight after all those knockdowns. Interesting match up for both guys
