Boxing has only really started to take off in the UK, more medals won in 2011 world championships than in all the previous years combined.

Toney is still a humorous individual but his speech is majorly messed up at the age of 44.

Haha great interview, if James could still peak clearly he could have had a career in hollywood similar to Tyson, the man is a character

Nothing new, Toney has an infamous reputation of dissing UK fighters whenever he gets a chance.

His brain is basically jelly at this point. If he leaned to one side half of it would probably fall out his ear.

But, yeah, he says some funny stuff.

his mostly right, uk fighters seem to rely on physical attirbuties rather than skill. there are the odd exceptions, but america both north and south has proven over the years they have the higher class fighters.

Without trying to sound like I'm 'hating', or whatever, this is a ****** comment to make. Ridiculous.

There have been world champions in the UK throughout the course of history and boxing here in the 90s was massive when fighters like Benn, Eubank, Lewis etc were on the scene.

Maybe since then it has died down and we're currently starting to see a resurgence (although I dunno if that's necessarily true either), but to say that the sport has just recently become popular is wrong.
