Mares may not win, but he will not be reduced to 20 punches a round.
But how many will he land is the question. Mares doesn't hit as hard as Donaire and is definitely smaller. How effective will Mares' pressure be? I love Mares but he aint winning this one. He would get stopped. He kept coming vs Moreno but the dude was fatigued against a light puncher. Rigo would capitalize on his aggression and Rigo CAN PUNCH.

Don't think Mares has the power to beat Rigo tbh

And yeah Rigo beat him in the amateurs. I think it was the in the Panamerican games.

Never said he's win, but he'll make his presence known.

Rigo by UD or late stoppage. Mares will keep coming to him and those wide shots are not going to fly against Rigo, he's going to get countered hard and flush.

People always say things like its easy to do. Its easy to be aggressive but when Mares finds himself getting hit HARD and not being effective with his pressure his punch output will diminish. All it will take is a couple of body shots. When you have someone being aggressive is not as hard to land those as it would be vs someone like Donaire who's bigger and a counter puncher.

                Mares by low blow knockout.

In all seriousness, either Mares kicks the crap out of Rigondeaux, or Rigondeaux kicks the crap out of Mares. I wouldn't expect it to be competitive, no matter who ended up winning. I'd pick Rigondeaux to kick the crap out of Mares.

GB vs. Top Rank though, so such a good fight to make won't be made.

I would avoid any one of these boring, extremely defensive boxers if I were Mares. They will put a huge hole in your career. It's high risk extremely low reward. It's a waste of time. Believe me, only a few would blame you for doing so. Most would understand you.

You right BB my man. Might be lower like 16 per round.
