If you're a Brit, you're the first Brit I've heard so far, defending her. She was as polarizing as they come, from talks with all the Brits I deal with.

There are many, many more Brits that feel how I do, if not more than what think bad of her. It became very fashionable to hate Thatcher over here and it's trend that has continued amongst the younger generation who have no idea about her reign as PM.

She had bigger balls than all the other PMs since her time put together and she'll go down as one of our greatest, we should be proud.

She divided a lot of opinion but the actions she took were necessary, this is what people fail to see. Yes, a few million were affected negatively but that's a small price to pay compared to the whole country going down the shitter.

Whatever mess we're in now has nothing to do with Maggie, had Maggie come into power when Blair did - we wouldn't be in this mess. She wouldn't stand for all this socialist bollocks and the huge influx of immigration, not to mention she called the EU's futility many, many years ago.

At least educate yourself in other places then a blog where the author may have an agenda. Read the facts, understand the situation and the time and then come to your own conclusion. Which is probably what half the other anti-Thatcher people need to do.

Tends to be where you're from what you think of her, if you're from the South, happy days, greatest PM ever etc etc
If you're from the North, then she was/is/always will be the devil himself.

Gotta agree with Andy on this one. Chisora is just selling himself. He probably doesn't care about Thatcher at all.

Chisora was a little kid during Thatcher's reign, and I doubt he ever read much about politics, let alone history.

From an outsider's perspective it would seem that Thatcher was a friend of the rich and an enemy of the working class. Similar to Ronald Reagan here in the USA.

Yep. The woman would have won four consecutive general elections, that she won three is a testament to the public's faith in her and approval of her policies.
