      speaking of which...
can a glass jaw be helped? I know there are neck exercises and the old jaw flex, but can someone seriously be taught how to take a punch? Like get beat in the head with a 2x4 once a day and have it built up?

somebody has to mention Johnny ruiz why do you think he he adapted the fight game to punck and grab... tua scared the lining $#!t out of him with the fastest ko on the books without punch grab it would be obvious... and also maybe rjj was so good for so long nobody ever knew that he couldn't take a punch... there had to be a reason why he was so scared to take a challenging fight

I remember a thread about boxers with great chins a few years ago on some forum and Roy Jones got a mention from a couple of posters!

Seriously though I don't think it's as bad as his last couple of fights have made it seem. Ruiz did hit him clean, and that's a heavyweight with a decent punch hitting a former middleweight.

I was saying that for years. I was watching the Montell Griffin I fight, and he did something that fighters with bad chins against light punchers do: They make a face that shows they don't like getting hit. I saw that from Wladmir and Michael Grant. About the chin exercises, go here:
