American Bank Center, Corpus Christi, Texas - Before a crowd of 3,200 fans, former lightweight king Juan Diaz (36-4, 18KOs) returned after more than two years away from the ring to stop Pipino Cuevas Jr. (15-10, 13 KOs) in the sixth round of action. Diaz came out swinging but he was rusty and at times appeared to be very rusty.
