Rigo would just run from Mares, it would be a boring fight.

Donaire-Mares would be a better fight.

I think watching Rigo befuddle and counter Mares to death will be pretty entertaining lol. I want to see how many straight lefts Mares is capable of (or willing to) absorbing in order to pin Rigo down. Mares is a fierce competitor and if Rigo is able to take the fight outta him, I'd be impressed.

You guys don't ever learn ay bro!! Mares would be very competitive against Rigo. And as a fan, I'll be routing for him all the way win or lose.

I'm not saying he won't or can't be, but when push comes to shove, I think Mares will wind up following Rigo around. Mares showed against Moreno that he's willing to walk/run down his opponent and pulverize them. I think he'd be too willing in the aggressor role and get caught with something vicious. The question is, how many risks is Mares willing to take in order to get the biggest W of his career? I think he's willing to walk through fire, but I don't think he's actually capable of doing so. He's gonna need to freeze Rigo cuz he won't be able out-maneuver him. Chances are he won't be able to out-box Rigo either. Mares is left with one option and it's something he enjoys doing: pressure. He just doesn't have the power to go with it.
