  • Comments Thread For: Hearn Will Reveal Kell Brook's Injury Status on Monday

Kell Brook is set to discover on Monday whether injury will again disrupt his world title fight with Devon Alexander.

The Sheffield welterweight has damaged a foot in training for the twice-postponed contest with IBF champion Alexander and now faces an anxious wait for scan results which could threaten the May 18 date in Atlantic City.

Promoter Eddie Hearn told BBC Sport: "Kell will see a specialist about the injury on Monday, when we will look to make an announcement.

"He has had MRI and CT scans, but we will not know more until we have spoken to the specialist."

At this point I don't care any more, at first I was actually excited to see this fight, to see if Brook was worth the hype but now it doesn't matter. Also this fight did not deserve to be atop Matts-Peterson.

Man I really hope Kell can still fight. Was really looking forward to him stepping up against Devon, which would have been a good fight for both.

          It's not "atop Matts-Peterson".
          Matthysse-Peterson is the main event.

I think Hearn and Brook are going to attempt to fight through this injury.

If they pull out this time, they won't get another shot.

First Brook sprained his ankle or foot in Jan. Now he strained his foot this time ? What type of training or they doing? I saw him on Youtube running full speed on the treadmill, then he jumps off while the treadmill's still going. He waits 30 seconds then they have him jump back on while it's going full speed. Crazy, i'm suprised he didn't blowout a knee.

He needs to be put in a bubble for his own safety.
