Comments Thread For: Roy Jones Jr. on Spadafora: First Molina, Then Pacquiao

Former four division champion Roy Jones Jr. has big plans for junior welterweight contender Paul Spadafora (48-0-1, 19KOs). Jones, who helps co-promote Spadafora, wants to match him against John Molina Jr. (25-2, 20KOs) in the coming months. Molina does have an ESPN date on June 7th, with no set opponent.

If Spadafora beats Molina, then Jones wants to put him in the ring with eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao. If Spadafora shocks the world and defeats Pacquiao, that would be win number "50" for the "Pittsburgh Kid" and at that point Jones would advise him to retire.

Good if Pac wins we can put an end to all the Pac/Mayweather stuff because we all know what Spadey did to Money in sparring.

Roy must be referring to going 50-0 on American soil. JCC was 50-0 before he ever got to America.

Spadafora has a draw on his record.
In fact there it was a loss -- Leonard Dorin beat Spadafora in his Pittsburgh backyard, back in 2003. It was an IBF, WBA, IBC unification title bout in which Dorin landed 344 punches against Spadafora's 259 (according to Compubox).
