At staredown donaire stooped down to get eye level with rigo and laughed as if he was joking about his height...rigo didn't flinch (no indication on the outcome but just something to watch)

And some of u guys take face off too seriously, just in case ya forgot the actual fight is done in the ring. I wouldn't feel comfortble staring into another mans eyes being inches away only. Still picking donaire to get the W.
I don't make much of the face-off myself. I agree, the fight is in the ring.

Picture of rigo vs marroquin definitely looks like he's making eye contact vs straight down at donaire's mouth/chin. When your about to go toe to toe with someone you normally make eye contact?

I'd say rigo loses the mental battle and gives Donaire an edge when he feels like Rigo is shook to stare a man in his eyes. You don't run from a wolf, you stare it down.

I guess cubans have been locked away so long this isn't known to them but yes, it is a MENTAL victory.
end of the day Rigo could have started ballroom dancing with Donaire gazing straight into his eyes and it wouldnt have made any difference. The fights won in the gym and in the ring imo. Staredowns are for the casuals

Rigo looks like his doubting himself!
I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. But I will say this: There is nothing to indicate that Rigo is "doubting himself." Even if I thought that might be the case, a man who's been boxing literally his whole life isn't likely to feel nervous about any damn boxing match. "El Chacal" is a world-class athlete with boatloads of experience as a fighter. Let's not get crazy.

Definitely won in the ring but you guys like the sweet science but don't give anything towards a mental aspect of the game? That doesn't make much sense.

Ass-kicking machines don't always look into their opponents' eyes. They look wherever the hell they want.
