The 48 hr trip you mean while Robert was not in training , not Floyd Showtime , Floyd just said no to showtime while Robert could not .

How is it that he could say no, yet Guerrero couldn't? Is this part of FMJ's big money contract with them?

We don't know what really happened with that.

But if Floyd did say no, he does have that power to do so. Floyd Mayweather is still paying A LOT of the bills for this next fight. Meaning a lot of the marketing bills, comes out of Floyd's pockets. Guerrero's purse, comes out of Floyd's pockets, not Showtimes. Floyd foots a lot of the bills for his fights, and in return, gets a huge portion of the profits (including money from the drinks and food that gets sold in the arena).

That's why I laugh when people say Floyd will go broke or is going broke. Because for every fight Floyd plans to have, he absolutely MUST stash millions upon millions away to use towards a future fight. In order for him to do that, he has to have a certain discipline financially.
