Comments Thread For: Arum Eyes Donaire-Juanma, Martinez-Garcia Double

As first revealed by veteran reporter Jose Sanchez, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is very interested in staging a September HBO televised doubleheader from Puerto Rico. In the main event, Nonito Donaire (31-1, 20 KOs) would face Juan Manuel Lopez (32-2, 29 KOs), and the co-feature would have WBO super featherweight champion Rocky "Roman" Martinez (27-1-2, 16KOs) defending against Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26KOs).

    Eh, Garcia v Cruz is a mismatch...and no, I don't care about Cruz's 'story'.

    Have some standards HBO.

What happened to Juanma not being able to make 126 anymore and that's why Salido demolished him twice?

Rocky would be too slow for Mikey IMO

Arum should call this card "Puerto Rican Boxing Demolition" because Donaire is going to smash Juanma, and Garcia will probably smash Rocky also, not a good card to put in Puerto Rico unless he wants a riot afterwards.

Fun first fight for Mikey at 130.

            I like it.

LOL..Same thing I was thinking. The two hometown fighters are going to get pulverized.

Wow that's a big card donaire fighting some1 his size but I doubt it happens the weight is an issue for Lopez and Mickey wants to stay at 126 for a while

First things first.....lets see how Donaire does against Rigo. Rigo is a huge obstacle to say the least.
