Whats if a fighter tested postive for a banned substance 1 day before the fight?

    Whats if a fighter tested postive for a banned substance 1 day before the fight?

    Would the fight still go on?

    does the commission stop it?

    does the clean fighter have the choice to put a green light on the fight and say fck it, the show must go on?

    i know the positive fighter is gonna be frowned upon but i have a feeling that the clean fighter will also get heat for not choosing not to fight. cuz thats how fight fans are.

    has this ever happened before?

          Yup, Garcia-Morales 2. I think it was up to the opposite camp to choose whether to fight or not.

              Wel if you're with USADA they'll allow you to get your Z sample tested and tell you they're not sure and then 4 months later they'll say you cheated and fake ban you

                  As some others have stated, a very similar situation happened with Morales vs. Garcia. Morales failed a test and the NYSAC absurdly let the fight go on with Garcia's consent.
