People seem to be thanking Bob for getting China into boxing. The reality is smaller promotions have been gradually building boxing in the country along side the success of their Olympic boxers.
Boxing has been shown on the major network quite a few times. If you think the 300 million for Zou's debut was big just think how many people watched him win gold in the Olympics.
Arum is trying to take credit for making boxing popular but it was built on the backs of others who put the work in. Arum is now only capitalising on Zou's success. Arum does not know how to grow the sport or even build fighters into huge names, he only knows how to capitalise on what is already available. This can be seen in how he immediately dismisses that Rigo can ever become a star. He basically took someone who was already big in his country and is now trying to pretend he made him into a big star. Even Manny was a total accident.
