You're allowing your eyes to deceive you when you have the answer staring right at you (in the last photo)...

Donaire is wearing sneakers that appear to have a 1" (at least) thick sole, while Rigondeaux is wearing leather moccasins that usually don't have thick (<1/4") soles. Donaire is the bigger man, but the difference isn't as pronounced as it seems.
