I think Pedro is a fine trainer, his AM credentials support that; but training in Big Bear, with a guy who's never done that, with one foot out the door already and the other halfway out was...strange

I'm not gonna watch but I assume Angel Garcia only feels safe talking about Cotto's trainer because Virgil Hunter already went in on that months ago. He pretty much called Pedro a bum for training Cotto in high altitude.

I agree with him on the big bear situation but apart from that most of the time he chats ****. Pedro Diaz is a much better trainer than him.

Yeah it was on an article I read shortly after Cotto-Trout. Virgil was saying that Pedro basically cost Cotto the fight because of where he had Cotto training (high alt) and how it was dumb of him to do that due to both Cotto's age and the fact that he wasn't exposed to it beforehand.

What is wrong with that? DLH trained there for many years, so did Mosley and they both were great champions with great success.

Pedro Diaz forgot more about boxing than Angel Garcia knows. I worked with Pedro Diaz and he's an excellent trainer, dude is a scientist in the gym. He studied in the university in Cuba and not only knows about boxing but the human body when it comes to exercise.

Reason Cotto lost is because he's not the same fighter he once was, him training in Big Bear didn't beat him, father time did.
