Mexico's Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada (23-2, 18 KOs) and Nicaraguan Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (32-0, 28 KOs) went to war last November. Gonzalez showed his skills to win a twelve round unanimous decision and retained the 108-pound title of the World Boxing Association (WBA). In the main event of that card, Brian Viloria knocked out Tyson Marquez to unify the WBA/WBO titles at 112-pounds.
Last Saturday night in China, Estrada moved up to 112-pounds and defeated Viloria to capture those WBA/WBO titles.
