Comments Thread For: Wlodarczyk vs. Chakhkiev Clash in Play For June 8th?

Undefeated Olympic goled medal winner Rakhim Chakhkiev (16-0, 12KOs) could be the next opponent for WBC cruiserweight champion champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (47-2-, 33KOs), according to the Polish boxer's promoter Andrzej Wasilewski. The match could potentially take place on June 8th in Moscow - with a rematch clause if Chakhkiev wins the contest. Chakhkiev has been inactive since last November and there are ongoing issues with with his promoter Universum. The champion was not been in action since last September's decision over Francisco Palacios.

    Hopefully this will happen.

Too bad Chakhkiev signed with Universum, but hopefully he can find a decent promoter.

Typical bull**** with universum, ruining careers of some great fighters

I wanted Masternak to beat Wlodarczyk first, but Chakhkiev is fine also. After he'll beat WBC "champ" and Masternak will beat a joke that Marco Huck (another paper champion) is, their unification bout will be one of the few instant classics at CW history
