At this point even beating Pacquiao will be a cherry pick for for some of the people on this thread. The only way Mayweather can please them is for him to lose like Broner.

Is Pacquiao the same as he was 4-5 years ago? Is the Floyd/Pac fight as big financially? Floyd has done with the Pac fight what he did with Mosley and Cotto in the past, fought good opponents when they were no longer at their best.

ANyone in boxing will tell you that Pac isn't the same fighter he was 2 years ago let alone half a decade ago.

Floyd's not exactly getting any better either. He isn't anywhere near as fast with his feet or hands as he was against say Hatton for example. He's also holstered the left hook. It used to be his best punch for the majority of his career, and it's regularity seems to have gone. He isn't throwing it with the same type of authority as in the past.

I hope Canelo enjoys the hype of being great, legit, future hall of famer while it last.

Because guess what?? Once you lose to Floyd Mayweather...you become a bum, too green, never was great anyways. And the same people hyping him up right now or saying that Floyd is scared, is gonna be the ones that do it to him.

It's going to be very funny when Mayweather and Alvarez do fight. I'd be shocked if they don't, barring some crazy unexpected 3rd round brutal KO against Trout.

Floyd likes them green, as stated in my post above. Canelo was perfect for Floyd.

At that point in Canelo's career, his sole advantage was size and youth. Floyd's team knew that youth was actually a detriment for Canelo because even though he had a low work rate, he had bad stamina. Sometimes, you acquire that with age. Sometimes you don't .......

Another issue with age, is inexperience. You go check out Floyd's team's interview and they kept on telling everyone that they approved of this fight with the knowledge that Canelo has plenty of weaknesses and they knew how to exploit that.

Lastly, who on this thread expected 2 fighters that had a title at 154 would be fighting at 152 CW? So Canelo's only advantage was taken away when they signed the contract. It was actually a detriment because Canelo said in his interview that the hardest thing in training camp was to make the 152 CW!

It sucks that they pointed that gun to his head when they were negotiating the fight. It's kind of BS because he had no choice to fight anyone else or anything.

Plus not to mention he had the disadvantage of carrying all that extra weight on fight night. He probably had to carry 15 more pounds around than Floyd. Floyd should have had to wear a 15 pound backpack to make the fight even.

Haven't you heard? Floyd waits for these guys to age because he has a magic spell that keeps him from getting older.
