  • 400k is $24 million in revenue~ PPV providers get like half so 12, HBO directly only gets a small cut to really cover costs. So that is like 10 million right there~ plus all the other revenue streams, they might not be ecstatic with 400k but that is enough to break even probably even make a bit of a profit.

I also say the fight easily does over 500k considering Bradley's last fight and JMM's bigger star, and I wouldn't be surprised at a 6 handle on that number.

Rios just needs to fk off and go away..I can't stand to see that kid talk. Makes me want to grab a steel pipe and beat some impulse control into him.
Manny is going to fight Bradley or Alvarado next.....unless of coruse Arum does like he did with Pacquiao-Mosley and puts Manny in with a guy coming off a loss (Rios).

My Denver boy Alvarado will lose to either Manny or Marquez though, but I'd love to see him get a mega fight like that. I was happy to see him get a big fight with Rios, but Rios is someone he can and did end up beating in the rematch. Alvarado gets killed against Manny, and it'd be a great way for Top Rank to get Manny's confidence back up and to get the public to think Manny's killer side is back or whatever.

Still, Manny beats anyone from 140-147 not named Marquez or Mayweather.

The same does not apply here..there is no rivalry..neither man in my opinion is going to get all crazy on camera talking shiiit to hype the fight and one has only had one true ppv event under his belt which was considered widely a failure. Now if they said something like if Bradley wins he gets Mayweather or Broner then maybe..because again it leaves that what if he loses thing in the back of people's minds. If pacquaio had beaten JMM and this fight was made and they said the winner gets pacquaio that would be fuel to get people to buy but neither guy has that going for them right now.
PPVs are not about belts or rankings (or **** talking lol), they're about name value. Marquez is a bigger name than Chavez Jr and Martinez. Bradley is not that far behind, even though he's mostly hated. A Bradley/Marquez fight would probably do somewhere around 400k and 500k. Neither Martinez nor Chavez had been on ppv prior to their fight. I don't understand why you keep dismissing the fight, Marquez and Bradley are among the biggest names in the sport.

lol, I understand what you're saying and I'm not arguing against it, because I would, of course, be su****ious of someone that used to brag about beating the test, but such tests are a start. And I have more respect for VADA than USADA thus far in boxing, so again, it's a good start for me, man. And they do more CIR testing, if Conte's word is to be trusted...

I can't get behind a rios fight with pacquaio or pretty much anyone for that matter. I like alvarado, he showed a lot of heart in the rematch beat the kid at his own game switching it up from evasive to toe to toe. I think it'll be Bradley..Pacquaio is cashing out right now. I think the guy fights maybe twice more and calls it a day.

Marquez a bigger name than Martinez? I believe that's a matter of opinion..keep in mind Martinez is popular here, in south america, and in europe. While Marquez is popular here and in mexico. In terms of consumption Martinez's markets are stronger he just had bad management for years but Martinez fighting in my personal opinion is more enticing than Marquez. I find Martinez to be a freak of nature on many level, Chavez is a draw. I agree it's not about about belts or talking..but it is about money. Broner is a big name, no ppv's. Danny Garcia big name no ppv's, Quillin big name in the making, no ppv's. See my corrolation. Just because you have a recognizable name doesn't make you ppv worthy. In order for Bradley vs JMM to be a successful ppv it'll require more than them two..perhaps their possible future opponent somewhere in the cards. It ain't like the old days where folks spend $60 to watch tyson pummel someone in 45 seconds.

Those two work with the organization they support the most..it's how Heredia supposedly repaired his image. I don't trust a bank robber that works security for the banks lol..same applies to these two. They both have limitless amounts of athletes that passed european ost testing which is wayyyy more rigorous than any testing ever done here and those athletes have admitted to taking stuff but were never caught while on it.

Only the fans looking to win arguments do bro..boxers lose it's part of the game. The first loss is always the hardest.

                    • bradley hasn't looked good in a long time (lost to pac and got beat up by provo and arguably lost)..this will be an easy fight for marquez and an easy 5th belt..

the bigger payday is with pac though...
