Macau – World Boxing Organization/World Boxing Association flyweight champion Brian Viloria said he is taking nothing for granted when he battles Mexican warrior Juan Francisco Estrada at the 15,000-seat Cotai Arena of the fantastic Venitian Macao Resort Hotel late Saturday night here in the gaming capital of Asia.

Viloria tipped the scales at 111.2 pounds, while Estrada who was reportedly having problems making the weight, was covered by a white sheet, as he stepped on the scales at the plush Venetian theater and checked in at exactly 112 pounds.

“I am expecting a toe-to-toe fight. A hard barn-burner,” Viloria told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard and ABS-CBN. “I will counter with a smart fight. I’m going to pace right off the bat and not let his youth and aggressiveness take over and try to disrupt my fight plan.”

Estrada gave Roman everything he could handle a fight ago and now beat Viloria. Kid is just the goods. Viloria has fought a string of real tough guys at Fly. Do that, you lose some.

bring on the chocalatito rematch. it was a competetive fight and estrada has always maintained he is stronger in flyweight.

damn feel bad for viloria...he worked hard to get to being #1 at flyweight and close to finally getting the recognition he deserves and he loses in an upset. hopefully he can come back strong again although he doesn't have much time left since he's already in his 30s.

he fought hard, but needed a big rally to close and didn't do enough
now his momentum's gone, not sure if he has a return clause or not
don't think he can afford another loss
he might do better taking a soft fight, then going for a rematch

Tough out for a lot of guys not named Gilberto Keb Baas. Estrada? Just went to the wall with a guy no one else really competes with, Gonzalez. I was THIS close to picking Estrada. Backed off. I knew this was nip tuck though. Not a big upset and no shame in the loss for Viloria. Estrada might be a round for a while.

Also, consider how his his level of opp has been over the years compare to most little guys.

not that Viloria was shamed, it was a good fight
but had 0 expectations of this upset, seemed like Viloria's time to shine
and beyond simply losing, he took some punishment
was hoping for a big KO in this, then revenge against Sosa
now Viloria's stuck in a quandary
