    Mayweather-Hatton: The perfect setup

All right here's the deal. Hatton wants the fight badly, although Mayweather has said little about it. Mayweather is afraid to fight if either of them is, which is something I don't understand. Why Mayweather would be afraid of anyone is beyond me, but he definitely fears strong opposition lately. Anyway, Hatton says he wants a tuneup fight first to make himself known in the States. Mayweather meanwhile has to fight a mandatory opponent or he will lose his 1/3 of the crown at 140. Mayweather's mandatory happens to be Junior Witter. I say Hatton fights Gatti on the same card that Mayweather fights Witter (this probably won't happen on the same card), but it would be excellent. We see a bloodbath in Hatton-Gatti and a boxing chess match in Mayweather-Witter. Both guys beat the fellow countryman of the opponent, and the fight is set for the fall. Could it get better than this?

It won't happen. It never does, not in boxing.

    Hearns-McCallum, Nunn-Benn, Bowe-Lewis, Jones-McClellan. This is boxing, man.
I doubt Mayweather-Hatton will ever happen.

What we need is for Hatton to sign with Golden Boy, who have clout with HBO, and MAYBE the chances of this fight happening will increase. BUT the RJJ-Bhop fight fell thru, so is Golden Boy Promotions to blame or just pig-headed Hopkins?

Either way Pretty Girl will have to fight a live opponent sometime he cant fun forever.

Judah is out of the picture for good as far as I'm concerned. If Mayweather wants to **** around and fight Baldomir, go ahead. It would be hilarious to watch that's for sure. I say fight Witter, who is at least a decent fighter.

The perfect setup was to eliminate Judah so Maywether could get back to 140lb and finally fight Hatton.

Ur quite the optimist arent you!

The way things are going it has to happen.

Either way the division has many great fights...Hatton- Cotto for one.

I think Hatton Gatti wont be simple. It has the potential to be quite a test for Hatton.
And Hatton needs to impress and do somthing close to what Mayweather did.
