      No.

I'd love to see Macklin win a world title but he's like Katsidis at this level, all heart and effort but just too short on ability to beat the top guys in the division.

Offensively, Golovkin's really impressive. Good jab, good body attack, good at cutting off the ring, obviously his head shots are crazy strong.

He is also a very sneaky fighter. He does a lot of setting up in there. He is constantly laying traps. Dwyer even thinks he is superb defensively, which I don't actually agree with. I think he is decent defensively, but gets hit sometimes because he is so zeroed in on making an attack.

Defensively and athletically is where he will suffer. Sergio, assuming he's okay after his knee injury, would be too fast and land too often. Anyone with superior talent and the defensive skill to back it up will give him hell. Thing is, who at middleweight fits that criteria? Martinez is the only one.

Even there, if Darren Barker and Matthew Macklin can give Martinez trouble using the jab, setting up right hands, and cutting off the ring, then Golovkin could too. Really hope Golovkin keeps winning and we get that fight.

Macklin can punch properly hard and with plenty of variety, he's strong, brave, experienced at the top-level and would come into the fight with the right mindset. But that's still not enough against GGG.

Anything less than a :15 second knockout from Golovkin and you'll see a ton of threads of how "overrated" Golovkin is and he's a bum, he'd lose to Martinez, Chavez, etc.
