  • Comments Thread For: Magomed Abdusalamov Now Ranked at #4 By WBC

On the eve of his next concussive ring appearance, undefeated future heavyweight champion Magomed "Mago" Abdusalamov (17-0, 17 KOs) has been elevated to #4 in the latest WBC rankings.

Abdusalamov, the reigning WBC-USNBC Champion, is coming off an impressive stoppage over former Olympian Victor Bisbal on March 8 and heading into a showdown against Argentina's Sebastian Ceballos (33-7-2, 25 KOs) on April 27 at Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of the Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez (50-2-2, 28 KOs) vs. Martin Murray (25-0-1, 11 KOs) WBC World Middleweight Championship undercard. Good for him.

Mago is never in a dull fight.

I want to see Abdusalamov vs. Wilder! Two guys with 100% KO-ratio!! A historic fight! Abdusalamov is quiet a big hitter! I think he would stop Wilder. He punches harder and is tougher and propably takes a shot better. These russians aint nothing to **** with!

He's really hot prospect and maybe a contender but #4? Who did he beat to get there, McCline? I guess they move up fast when the sanctioning bodies can't find anyone else to rank.

I'm interested.... fight definitely ends in a KO.
Wilder is chinny, but Mago only has so much in the tank

he's the WBC (USNBC) champion with a couple defences so his ranking will be based on his regional belt & activity.

I guess the manner of of his victory over mcCline has elevated him,McCline whilst not ranked highly is well thought of,he went 10 with The Pin,I expected him to test Mago, for him to finish him in such emphatic fashion, deserves emphatic recognition.

Take David Hayes,he dropped the fat oaf Chisora, his WBA and WBC rankings benefitted vastly to the point he's still massively relevant a year after having last fought.Activity and knock outs, have never done anyone any harm, ask Arroela,he beat 6 variations of tinned vegetables in 2011 and is now ranked no.1 having not had a fight in 2012 !
