The Nuff Tumper to get IBF Middleweight Eliminator?

I've heard that Howard "The Nuff Tumper" Eastman is due to fight Edison Miranda as an eliminator for the IBF title.

If he beats Miranda he'll face Abrahams, a man who beat him on points last year.

I haven't seen the Nuff Tumper-Abrahams fight, but the word on the street is he was dishing Nuff Tump to de mon's ead and was cruising it up to round five... then his customary lazy streak kicked in and he lost every round thereafter.

Can this guy ever get rid of that bone idle nature of his and take a title?

Unfortunately probably not. He couldnt be bothered against Joppy, then against Eastman, and then finally against Abraham. Dont get me wrong, he's a good fighter but he just doesnt have that bit of devil that you need to make it at the top. How the hell you cant be bothered when fighting for the undisputed middleweight championship of the world is beyond me, but he managed it!!

I think it's an ego thing... he actually believes he was robbed against Joppy. (Though to be fair, from what I saw, I agree with him). But the notion of "make sure" doesn't seem to be in his vocabulary.

he wasnt robbed it was close, he just doesnt have it full stop - a perfect example of a world class contender, a nearly man.

Lest hope he can prove us wrong and do a Clinton Woods and pick up a belt. Eastman is always a wild card in the middleweight division: He can beat anyone if he would actually try.

Imagine four IBF belts in the UK (Hatton, Eastman, Calzaghe, Woods). Holy ****.

The thing is, the guy CAN dish out nuff tump... otherwise he wouldn't be known worldwide as The Nuff Tumper, would he?

If only he'd let his hands go at this level a bit more...

Exactly. Eastman is a solid fighter, but he is not a great fighter. He is, and will probably always be, nothing more than a contender. But if Baldomir's a world champ, then I guess you can't ever count anyone out.
