Nonito Donaire VS Guillermo Rigondeaux....ROLL CALL!

My first boxing event and excited to ****! After last weekend, my families house burning down. We are ready to get away for a night and excited to watch the next FILIPINO PRIDE do his thing.

Anyone have any recommendations, what to expect, what to do while waiting etc?

What to expect? expect to leave in the 1st round, so just leave the car running.

Nah, I really don't think Rigo is going to KO Donaire that quick. I expect Nonito to at least last a few rounds before getting dropped.

Personally, I'm indifferent. Both fighters are very good in their own right, both can be very technical - GR being more technical of the two. I expect to see GR boxing, moving and countering more. ND will have more volume and generally be the aggressor throughout the night. It's definitely going to be a GREAT fight, a true boxing fan's fight.

I couldn't pick one...but if I did I'd say ND just on volume and exposiveness. GR, sometimes just doesn't throw enough, at least relative to ND.

I'm just trolling, I still think Donaire wins tho.

the closer it gets the easier I think this fight is gonna get for Nonito.

I dont see rigo making it out the 3rd round.

I hope you had good fire insurance after the house burn down. I had a major infestation in the garage in a house in FL and had to put stuff in storage, and that was annoying.

As far what to expect it depends what style Rigo brings to the table. Many people think Rigo will get KO, but if he keeps his a low stance and fights cautious he can last the distance like Narvaez. I was ringside when Donaire was taken the distance by the dimunitive argentinean. However, it might an aberration as Argentineans are among the most steel chin pugilists out there. Monzon was never knocked out in 100 bouts(only one knockdown in his LAST fight, Jorge Fernando Castro i think was stopped once in over 100 bouts and same thing for Nicollino Locche.

If Rigo takes chances he may get stopped by a left hook. My best bet is that Rigo's experience and skills will get him to the finish line.
