Bell that just beat Mormeck? Yeah, he's sloppy, inconsistent, lazy... but when he's trying to do something he's pretty dangerous. Like Valuev, Bell took rounds off and it didn't hurt him against Mormeck.

Also, Jones won that first fight by two or three rounds IMO.

Its too bad Roy is gunshy now. If he would have thrown punches he could have beat Tarver in the third fight. Hes just afraid to get hit, and rightfulley so after being KOed twice back to back. But if he is afraid he should retire and move on. But he wants to fight...

I think Jones won the first fight with Tarver, but it wasnt so much Jones winning, than Tarver giving up the final couple rounds in a very close fight. I wouldnt be suprised if Jones goes after Bell, try to win one more title before retiring, or be retired with yet another KO.

He was saying he's done as a commentator on HBO because they wanted him to work thursdays also.

The Hopkins fight was called off because HBO wasn't offering the guarantee they want.

He's looking closely at the "Lacy/Calzaghe" fight winner.

O'neil is something he's interested in because he didn't try his hand at cruiser yet, and it's undisputed.

And he also said, he wouldn't be opposed to fighting on showtime.

Last sentence he closed with, "In boxing they treat you like a greyhound. When your winning they feed you good, they take care of you, they bathe you, and do everything. But once you can't win that race no more they don't give a damn about you, and they won't even clean your pen. But that's life. Boxers are just like greyhounds and anybody that don't know that better learn that."

Bell would beat Jones by TKO/KO. He's better than Tarver and Johnson.

Bell would look like **** 90% of the fight and then knock out Jones.

That's Bell's pattern in the three fights I've seen him in. He looked very unimpressive most of the time but he has good qualities.

Goldenboy, that greyhound quote is good and sadly true.

                    Key points from the interview:

                    1. Roy says he never signed to fight Hopkins and never saw a contract.

                    2. Roy and Bernard had agreed to a 50-50 purse split, but HBO was only willing to guarantee them $500,000 to split for the rebroadcast, a sticking point in the negotiations which insulted Roy.

                    3. Roy is done as a HBO commentator, mainly because they wanted him to come in on the Thurs before the fight, which he feels is silly. He feels with 26 years in boxing that's uneccessary. If they wanted him to show up at fight time to commentate, then he'd be there, no problem.

                    4. Roy would be willing to shop Jones-Hopkins II around, but Hopkins is under contract with HBO. Roy is a free agent and is doubtful that HBO will back him to his liking in his next fight.

                    5. Roy would like to fight O'Neil Bell, cruiser being the only weight above middle that he hasn't won a title in.

                    6. Roy would like to fight the winner of Lacy-Calzaghe, and favors Lacy in that matchup.

                    7. Roy expects to be back in the ring by late Spring/ early Summer.
