This is boxing breaking into China. This is history. Do you have any idea how many people will be watching this fight in China? Do you have any idea how many Chinese in the US follow Zou Shiming? HBO clearly want in on that.

When Xiong fought for the belt he sold out a 40k stadium and Xiong doesn't come close to Zou's level of popularity. There isn't a company in the world that doesn't want its finger in China's pot of gold.

From what I've seen from his training with Roach, the kid has pretty fast, and powerful combos. Hopefully he really does become the next Manny.

Did you see Viloria's opponent vs Roman Gonzalez?

LOL...It's not really "Zou Shiming taking up airtime". The undercard fights are really the main events. Zou Shimining is in there so Top Rank can get into the Chinese market.

I'm sure this isn't the card that will make or break HBO's budget.

I've been saying for a while that they need to counter ShowTime's "ShoBox: The Next Generation" series. And this card is better than most ShoBox cards.

Then don't watch it? Not really a hard concept.

I'll be tuning in. It'll be interesting to see him in action.

And if he turns out to be a beast, you can say that you've followed his career from day 1.

The card is being shown on HBO2 so it's like being shown on Showtime Extreme. They're not showing this on the premiere HBO channel. I heard that Larry Merchant, George Foreman, and some other guy are going to commentate.
