I voted yes I would like that fight. I may be in the minority but I wanted to see Pacquiao get a 5th fight with Marquez. I think Marquez-Pacquiao is an even fight. I don't believe Marquez has his number. Pacquiao was doing well until the sudden KO ending. Since Marquez wants to turn down his best paying fight with Pacquiao in favor of other fights I like the Marquez-Alvarado fight. This would almost have to be a good action fight and a pretty even fight. I favor Marquez to win by KO. Marquez seems like the Mexican Hopkins and clean living and hard training make him seem as good as ever at age 40. With the help of new training methods Marquez is hitting very hard and he always was an accurate, precise puncher with great timing. I think he can do what Rios could not do and take Alvarado out but that is no sure thing. Alvarado would be a very hard fight for him. Marquez wants to fight Bradley for Bradley's 147 pound title. If he fights Alvarado that leaves Bradley free to rematch Pacquiao which is a fight I really want to see. I think Pacquiao would beat Bradley. Then if Marquez wanted that WBO welterweight title he would have to fight Pacquiao to get it.

Marquez Bradley makes the most sense for Marquez right now..Hands down..I like Alvarado,but I'd rather see him fight Prov..Let Rios fight either Denis Shafikov or Mayfield..

i think it's a great fight, give than both are coming off of big wins. the belts don't effect my line of reasoning whatsoever, though.

if you're fighting for a "belt" of value you wouldn't have a "regular" and "interim" champion. the belts are bogus. who cares about them.


this fight should happen for real reasons, not fake reasons, like a fake championship belt.


here are the real reasons:

A: alvarado is a top fighter, in his prime, coming off of the biggest win of his career in a fight of the year candidate. he's got one of the most fan friendly styles in the game.
B: marquez laid an ATG named manny pacquiao out like a sleeping baby
