Loved the fight. Better than the first to one in my eyes. FOTY candidate 100%.

Thats what I'm saying. It might have been too one-sided to top the first one.

Also Bradley-Pkov was better because like the one poster said the unexpected nature of the way the fight turned out. You knew exactly what you were getting with Rios-Alvarado 2.

are you guys for real? This fight was better than Bradley vs Provodnikov? Not in a billion years. Bradley himself supposedly said so also? I can't believe that.
Rios vs Alvarado was a good fight, a very good fight, but it was not even close to the first fight between the two in my opinion. And not a candidate for FOTY either. HBO is selling fairy tales with their commentary.
It was a great fight, but not fight of the year type of stuff.

It is March now. FOTY candidate has nothing to do with how good other fights are. Bradley vs Provodnikov was clearly FOTY candidate, Alvarado vs Rios was-in my opinion-not a FOTY candidate.
Both Rios and Alvarado gave their everything, but fights usually get voted for FOTY if both fighters are trading. Alvarado was moving almost the whole fight.
And in no way do I want to disrespect Alvarado or Rios by saying that.

Yes Alvarado was moving, but they were also exchanging in a vicious manner bro..It was a great fight, and usually FOTY kinda of fights are just that..Great..Just because you employ a different tactic should not take a way from a clear FOTY candidate..You never know but I only see about two or three fights this yr,that can compete with the two fights we've seen these past few weeks..

One is Peterson vs Matt's and Froch vs Kessler..Now anything can happen, but imo Rios-Alvarado deserves to be in the discussion for FOTY..

I think this one had more variety, since the first was fought almost exclusively in a phone booth. The first fight had more ebb-and-flow, but that's because Alvarado was fighting in a way that didn't benefit him.

Rios Alvarado was a good fight but Bradley Ruslan tops it still. But it's definitely a honorable mention at the end of the year. Rios always is in foty type of fights but he has fell short so far.

                      Yep.

Not as good as the first fight, but still a helluva fight.
