Top Rank can put their own PPVs but yet they rather not why? Because they can't promote it or do as good a job as HBO/Showtime. GBP could too if they really wanted to.

GBP hasn't made any stars? How long have they been around compared to Top Rank? It takes time to build stars and they throw their prospects in to fight each other to give fans good fights, instead of feeding them bums until they become big stars which Top Rank has an habit of doing.

this, you cant even compare them, TR had time to build those guys up. Golden boy hasnt been around long enough. What 'ppv star' does TR have besides pac, JCC cant fight just anybody and be on ppv, nobodys gonna pay to watch a 122 pounder and rios wont be boxing long enough to be in ppv

Donaire-Rigondeaux is about equal to Mares-Moreno and Garcia-Salido was like Broner-DeMarco basically.

But Golden Boy just has more possibilities at a lot of these weights, especially 140-154.

Donaire vs. Rigondeaux seems like a far better match up then Mares vs. Moreno and Garcia vs. Salido isn't no where as good of a match up as Broner vs. DeMarco...

That's the best scenario i can imagine. Still, lot of really good fights that might never happen.

What I mean is that Golden Boy will be forced to put their best against their best like they are doing with Matthysse/Peterson, Canelo/Trout. Golden Boy stable alone can produce some pretty good competitive fights. Arum has been doing it lately because he wants to stay relevant but he made some meaningless fights in the past. Donaire/Rigondeaux happened because Golden Boy was pushing for the Mares fight. It was pressure to deliver.

Oscar stole Pacman from right under Arum, and than went on Radio and was taking digs at Arum even said he beat the biggest *** to come out of Harvard, Arum was able to get Pacman back, but Arum never had to maek a truce with those ingrates, yet he did and they squashed it and I think they got 12 percent from any Pacquiao fight on ppv too, now Golden boy at the time knew they needed Arum to make fights, Floyd was retired, and Pacman was the biggest draw possible to pit against golden boy fighters. Pacman basically fought golden boy fighters since the TRUCE! so where is this bob arum crap?

Pacman fought Barrera 2, JMM 2, Oscar, Hatton all Golden boy fighters, than Floyd came back and Richard and Oscar started talking big again, and than even jumped on the crap on Manny Pacquiao wagon with the steroid allegations. Since than Pac hasn't fought a golden boy fighter, its not Arum who started this its the Golden Boy A holes. biting the hand that fed them they are the real two faces here. They were kissing Arum and Pacs ass when Floyd was retired and they had no more cash cow than Floyd comes back they talked crap and caused the division.

So tell me now how is it Arum's fault? Because he has PRIDE? he doesn't like Golden Boy, and he is a business man, why is it okay for Al Haymon to baby his fighters and Golden boy to do in house bouts and coddle their fighters, but Arum cant do inhouse bouts as a business man?

You guys live off Floyds word, just like with this 50 cent thing, before he was the man than he was a two face slimeball when he left Floyd and exposed him for being scared and greedy. When the truth is 50 cent was actually trying to help Floyd be his own man and not a Al Haymon puppet, Haymon is Floyds boss and controls his money.

You make some valid points but lets get it straight. Manny Pacquiao made the decision to take Oscar's brief case full of money knowing he was signed to Top Rank so technically that should fall on Manny as the one not being able to be trusted. Promoters are going to be shady regardless but the loyalty lies with the actual client.

Golden Boy fighters made Manny Pacquiao who he is today. Pacquiao was doing his thing but once he fought Oscar and Hatton he took off to a new level.

Floyd came back wanting to fight Pacquiao and it didn't come off. Golden Boy has always been willing to make fights happen even if they didn't like or agree with Arum's business methods at times. Arum has been the one who flat out says he will not deal with Golden Boy and fighters must leave their promoters to fight his guys.

I totally agree with Bob Arum regarding Andre Berto. He was protected for so long that once he started losing he went on a streak. Golden Boy protects young fighters and Top Rank protects them once they become stars. Always the same song and dance between these two companies but Golden Boy just has a wider range of fighters. This beef may be bad for boxing but I think (in my opinion) that it will make these companies step their game up and put together better fights with their top fighters from now on.
