Ishida is coming off two straight losses, doesn't stop him.

chavez/barker is a good matchup, but i really want to see what macklin is capable of against a big guy like chavez. i know no one wants to see a rematch, but since the wbc made rubio the no. 1 contender to martinez, perhaps chavez/rubio II can happen, just to get rubio out of the way (if top rank/dibella do plan on making martinez/chavez II). that said, vera, barker, or macklin would all be good fights for chavez. i'd be okay with any of them getting the fight. hopefully loeffler can get one of those names against golovkin after the ishida bout.

Giovanni Lorenzo and Bryan Vera were two names that were
considered along with Matthew Macklin and Darren Barker he
needs to get a good win to get his confidence back. Vera he
is a quality opponent he's defeated two former world champs
in his two last fights Sergio "The Latin Snake" Mora himself a
former WBC Jr. Middleweight Champion and Sergiy Dzinziruk a
former WBO Jr. Middleweight Champion in back to back fights.
I would prefer to see him fight top Russian Middleweight boxer
prospect Matt Korobov (19-0) with 11 KO's and if I remember
correctly he was always being featured on some of Top Ranks
undercard bouts, Matt Korobov has never been tested before.

Macklin is too small. Probably weighs around 168 on the night. Barker probably weighs 170ish, BUT could box the ears off Jr. Be a quality matchup.
